The Democrats have four years of Trump-Vance screwups to wrestle control of enough state legislatures and governorships and maintain them thru the 2030 midterms to control redistricting for 2032 (the 100th anniversary of Franklin D. Roosevelt's historic election).
This also means a "We Told You So" ad campaign in the Latino community EVERY TIME an innocent American Latino is caught up in an immigration sweep. EVERY SINGLE TIME.
Republicans have done an effective (though sick) campaign of highlighting every victim of a henious crime commmitted by an undocument immigrant.
But where are the ads about the previous Trump administration arresting, detaining and even DEPORTING American CITIZENS?

One of the early important goals MUST be to flip control of the governorship and the state legislature in Texas by 2030 so as to control redistricting in that state after the 2030 census. That could ensure Dem House control in 2032.
A mere 8 seat flip in the 2020 elections would have given Dems control of the Texas House (and 3 in the TX Senate).
A better redistricting plan out of those elections would have all but ensured Democratic control of the U.S. House at the 2022 midterms with the result of additional Biden administration legislative achievements, including passage of the bi-partisan immigration/border security bill.

Available ICE data indicate that ICE arrested 674, detained 121, and removed 70 potential U.S. citizens from fiscal year 2015 through the second quarter of fiscal year 2020 (March 2020).
