Funny not even Harris is objecting. Yet the MAGAS are acting like she has.
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
@DeWayfarer She knew she wasn't qualified
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@nudistsueaz Bunk.

You don't make to attorney general of California twice, much less a senator and then Vice President and think you're unqualified.

She was twice as qualified as Trump politically even after being president the first time.
Punches · 46-50, F
@DeWayfarer Charles Effing Manson is more qualified than orange man.

At this point we are just counting down to democracy's demise.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Punches we never had a democracy...

Punches · 46-50, F
@DeWayfarer At least before we were able to pretend we had a democracy, soon that won't even be possible.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Punches listen. I have been calling for constitutional changes ever since I started here in 2016 when Trump ran the first time.

No one wants to here it!
Punches · 46-50, F
@DeWayfarer What sort of constitutional changes?
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Punches lots I have mentioned! Most anything that makes this country a Republic to start.

States are not individuals that have rights for just one example.
JohnOlinger81 · 41-45, M
@Punches what do you think Trumps second term will be like
Punches · 46-50, F
@JohnOlinger81 It will be like feces hitting a turbine.

@DeWayfarer
States are not individuals that have rights for just one example.

I think the reason there are laws on state and fed level is - it is easier to scapegoat and pass the buck.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@JohnOlinger81 very bad changes. For one he already talking about more conservative supreme court Justices. Alito (liberal) and even justice Thomas (Republican).
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Punches no. The reasons where convince back then. It would have taken forever to get the votes on horses. It's not necessary today.

Not even the pony Express existed until the 1860.

Think about the time span between Nov 5th and Jan 22nd. That's three months just for the electorial college.
Punches · 46-50, F
@DeWayfarer People are worried about whoever trump will appoint to whatever office.

I do not understand why. I mean trump is the worst of them all and since he is heading back to office, what does it matter?

Like I heard in a show once, something about when you are swinging from a rope, it doesn't matter if your feet are a few inches off the ground or 100 miles, the outcome is the same.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Punches my own example was the supreme Court. Just those two will effect decades of decisions.
Punches · 46-50, F
@DeWayfarer If the trump administration does even half what it plans to, it is then unlikely that anyone over 40 will ever know what freedom is.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Punches ... and once again constitutional changes will need to happen. Only it will be far far worse. Because a constitutional convention will be totally necessary.

You can't escape it! Better to do it now in small changes or else it will be worse. It can only be worse later.

The constitution is called a living document for a very good reason. It was meant to change.
