How about we talk 2028?

The most toxic political season of all time has ended. So maybe to patch up some old wounds, let's look at the Presidential race of 2028. \

On the Republican side, I'm pretty certain we will be seeing Florida Governor DeSantis once again putting his hat into the ring. (If he had been the nominee this time around, the Republican landslide would have been enormous.) Probably Nikki Haley will take another shot at the office. And I'm pretty sure the Hillbilly JD Vance will want to push the Vice President card for that coveted office.

Trump would be term limited out. A lot of Republicans are sighing in relief that he and his baggage would finally be out of it.

How about the Democrats?
Outside of California's awful Governor Newsom, who else do they have to run for nationwide public office?

KKKamala is young enough that she could try for a run in 28, except that she was never popular in her own party, at least at the primary level. She would have an edge in 28 since she scored so high nationwide in 24, for an office she was never nominated for by primary vote.

Chuck You Schumer might actually grow the balls to take that next step up the political ladder, but he's always seemed like a rank and file goose stepper.
Does the Democrat party have any prospects with national name recognition that could go up against a DeSantis, or Haley, or Vance?

I'd be absolutely delighted to see Nikki Haley throw her hat in. And the Dems need an outsider, anti-establishment candidate running on a relentlessly progressive platform. Not Kamala, not Newsom, I don't think Buttigieg either. We'll wait and see

@SW-User Actually, the Democrats need to grow a brain and maybe move towards the CENTER for a change. I mean, they've always been the COMMUNIST party of America since the Port Huron Statement, but with each election cycle they get further and further out on the Nazi left.

Democrats like Hubert Humphrey were more aligned with Ronald Reagan than the goose stepping PMSNBC hacks who wanted KKKamala in public office.

@Reason10 That is BS, frankly. The Dems are establishment and centrist to the core. That's what loses them elections.

@SW-User Excuse me?

The Democrats are so far to the left that it isn't funny. They haven't been centrist since JFK. They have been a bunch of far left KOOKS since the Sixties. There is NOTHING Centrist about those goose steppers.

They put TAMPON TIM on the ticket, a hack with the WORST, most EXTREMIST FAR LEFT record in the country. WAY out from the American mainstream.

Frankly, (and a lot of Republicans hate him for this) Trump is the most CENTRIST president in the history of America. He has governed more as a centrist than even the Bushes, and I never thought that would be possible.

@Reason10 This is why the Dems lost. [media=https://youtu.be/x0eq7VNCcYY]
