Election Day Special

Don't often post here and keep to my own lane but this is a pretty huge event.

A certain individual on here who is named after a European bird variety, leans to the political right and is a bit wild 🤭 made this point and I'll rephrase it.

Our Triune God is sovereign over everything- whoever wins, Christ is still on the throne and will ever be.

We don't get to overrule God's rules on conduct and start slandering and insulting the candidate we don't agree with.

At the end of the day both Harris and Trump are fake Christians.

Harris's "testimony" on 'Evangelicals for Harris' is a bunch of social gospel garbage. No mention of sin and our need for a saviour.

Trump does not even have a testimony and cannot possibly as he is not saved (to paraphrase Justin Peters, himself a Trump supporter).

So this election vote for who you want and know, if Kamala wins, I'll be on the morning commute to work, sipping on my coffee and listening to Emeal Zwayne dishing out banter to his father in law Ray Comfort on the 'Living Waters' podcast. Same old for me as if nothing has happened 😅

Ahhh- freshly ground coffee, Bible reading and a Living Waters podcast- that is ACTUAL joy 🤭

Like any other politician, Trump is not perfect and neither are we, but he is a Christian. He has never denied loving the Lord and he does have a church home. He is not ashamed to tell the world that Jesus is Lord and that this world needs God and it will never be successful without Him. He has proclaimed that we must turn back to God if this nation is to survive. It is beyond Justin Peters and anyone else to judge him or his relationship with Christ. Trump certainly isn't bashful about Christ being his Savior. Just the opposite of Kamala Harris.

Based on extensive inside sources, including exclusive interviews with the President and Vice President, The Faith of Donald J. Trump explores his deeply important, religious beliefs and relationships with leading Evangelicals.

The Chief Political Correspondent for the Christian Broadcasting Network and the "Jesus in the Public Square" columnist for the Washington Times explore the deeply important, religious beliefs and worldview of Donald J. Trump and his advisors.

For those in other countries that are not aware, Donald J. Trump was raised as a Presbyterian and has praised both Christianity and the primacy of the Bible. In the Oval Office, he has surrounded himself with close advisors who share his deep faith. In this deeply reported book, David Brody and Scott Lamb draw on unparalleled access to the White House to explain President Trump’s connection to the Christian faith, the evangelical right, the prosperity gospel, and the pressing moral and ethical issues of our day.

President Trump won over evangelicals not by pandering to them, but by supporting them and all their most important issues without pretending to be something he’s not. Donald Trump is just what America needs. He has surrounded himself with believers who think he is the one guiding figure who can return us to the traditional values—hard work, discipline, duty, respect, and faith—that have long been the foundation of American life, and truly make America great again in all ways.
@LadyGrace I know his mum was Christian, Fred I'm not so sure.

His great Aunts were prayer warriors at the Isle of Lewis revival.
@LadyGrace People hopefully will vote for either politician based on their policies and not their religious leanings.
I am Catholic. I did not vote for Biden because as he professed a few times, his Catholic faith.
Not being disrespectful of any religion but when people are living from week to week on their pay, having to choose between rent or needed medicines, it is the politician who will espouse his or her willingness and ability to make those in need, lives better.
Those issues facing us, impinging on our religious beliefs are to be dealt with on an individual basis IMO. Then depending on one’s beliefs, will likely vote for the candidate they feel will best address those issues.
@soar2newhighs Yup.

And no more in your face violations of Romans 13 like Jan 6th. That event had rioters threatening the life of Mike Pence, the only Christian politician in the US that comes to mind (can't think of any in the UK 😅)
@soar2newhighs
Well exactly. I was just addressing the issue at hand.
@LadyGrace My friend, thank goodness for the internet and the advances in our information structure. Growing up I heard many names in both politics and the military I thought highly of.
Thanks to that technology and info, I along with others came to find out these were not really in their character and behaviors the people we may have grown up idolizing. And there are many of them.
@soar2newhighs yes it's always a good idea to thoroughly check out people's backgrounds.
@LadyGrace 100%

@LadyGrace I also feel in my heart that he is a Christian person.
@DanielsASJ I just can't see any saving evidences.

No remorse shown that he threw a Godly man who certified the 2020 election under a bus.

The heart is deceitful above all things.
