The news is wrong. Harris is significantly ahead :)

@SW-User and, you really believe that 🙄

SW-User
@ididntknow Oh yes. I'll be here on Wednesday so that you can say that I was right :)

@SW-User you’re probably right, but I don’t think the results will be in that quick, especially after the bullshit that went off in 2020

SW-User
@ididntknow Well, to be fair, we all know that whether harris wins by a couple of EC votes, or wins by a colossal landslide, the Republicans won't accept the result.

@SW-User There's no doubt that she'll win the popular vote, which is exactly how the election should be determined. One person, one vote. The EC is obsolete and should be done away with.
Whether or not she wins the EC is anyone's guess. I suspect the youth vote is being underestimated and, if that's the case, she'll have enough votes so that even the red states won't be able to deny her the Presidency.
The polls are meaningless. They sample an equal share of people, but not an equal share of people actually votes. There are more women in the USA than there are men. Women are also more likely to get off their asses and cast their votes. Thus, a true poll would sample more women than men. That would change the results of polls considerably. But again, nothing matters until the final vote is counted.
In past elections, I knew who would win. I've been pretty good at this guessing game. All the way back to Reagan's second run, I knew who the winner was going to be long before the votes were cast. In modern times, I've been off. I knew Hillary Clinton would win and I was wrong. I knew Biden would win and I was right. So that's 50%. Not great. This time, I have no clue. It could be either candidate.
The question is, will the next President be elected or selected? If the winner of the popular vote also wins the Electoral College, then that's an election. If the loser of the popular vote still gets the Electoral College, then that's a selection. Trump was never elected, he was selected. The same happened with George W Bush. They both lost the popular vote but were selected by the Electoral College. We'll see what happens this time.

@SW-User so if it’s vice Versa, the democrats will just go quietly, come on man

@LustAndMadness Remember, Harris didn’t do too well in the primaries, in 2020, in fact, wasn’t she the first one to go, after Tulsi Gabbard destroyed her,

@ididntknow In 2000, Trump ran for President. He didn't even make it to the Primaries. He dropped out. Reagan ran for President twice before finally winning his third attempt, which led to an easy win in his fourth run. In fact, Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, William Henry Harrison, Grover Cleveland, and Richard Nixon all ran for President and lost before coming back and trying again. A past loss is absolutely no indicator of possible future outcomes.
