So trump comedian makes the floating garbage "joke" and the pres makes his version of the "deplorables comment"

I would like to invite the candidates to either ask their supporters to
1)stfu
Or
2) start wearing kevlar shoes for when they get shot in the foot

Gawd I will be glad when this campaign is over

Biden being Biden. Trump being Trump.

I can see this as an opportunity for both candidates to put some distance between the ugliness of some of their supporters.
Trump usually doubles down (panders to his base)
When it's Biden making a gaffe, it's always "he's an old man and has always made gaffes - what he really meant is...."

Neither is a good approach. Both sides need to acknowledge that both comments were extremely offensive and have no place in politics.
