Illegal Ongoing Trump Campaign Contacts

In the past 36 hours, I have received both a text and phone call from the Trump Campaign. I have a cell phone and have been on the Do Not Call List for over 20 years, so my status is documented literally over decades. The call last night connected me directly to the audio for the Trump Rally then being held. These calls are illegal under US law. I confirmed that the numbers the contacts came from were in service by the campaign, and have filed formal complaints with the Federal Communications Commission this morning. Nothing will happen, of course, since Trump and his Cult believe they are above the law, but at least this illegality is on record.

I have heard rumours that the Trump campaign has been skewing the poll numbers by illegally calling voters and Registering them as intending to vote for Trump. I think you may just have confirmed this.

Thanks for going on record, but keep in mind, Trumpists are just fine with, anything otherwise illegal is just fine if it's in service to Trump.

If Trump wins, even unenforced laws like this might be enforced only against his enemies, but more likely, they'll just be scrapped along with your report, unless it's to keep track of undesirables, aka, non Trumpists.

@MistyCee I considered not filing anything, because then there is a public record, but I think it is important to document wrongdoing even if nothing comes of it. And I'm sure I'm not the only one this has happened to or will happen to. If only 1% of those people file a complaint, or 0.1%, that could still be a sizeable number and something that will stick out to the FCC.

I don't expect anything to come of it, which has been my experience in the past, but that's in my view a poor excuse for excusing illegality on the part of the Trump Campaign.
@windinhishair I applaud you. But I just dumped the landline and kicked up the spam blocking on my cell.

@windinhishair When dealing with Fascists, silence is permission. The voter turnout is about to tell everyone where America stands..😷

Define cult , not sure how you can confirm a number belonging to a organization
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Jake966 Sorry, Jake. Your actions belie your purported beliefs and prove your devotion to the Trump Cult. You're done here, Jake. Done means done.

You contacted the FCC with your complaint. Are you alleging they won’t act your behalf ?

Realize you are contacting a Federal bureaucracy. You might get a response or you might not.

The fact that you say Trump and his cult believe they are above the law really has no effect on the actions of the FCC.

As for politicians, many believe they are above the law.

@soar2newhighs I don't expect a response. I have filed FCC complaints against telemarketers for years and have yet to hear anything back ever. I felt it was important to go on record that the Trump Campaign is knowingly breaking the law. They clearly believe they are above the law and that nothing will happen.
@windinhishair Fair enough.

so, if you're on the don't call list and you receive a text from a political campaign, that is illegal activity?
boudinMan · 61-69, M
@ElwoodBlues i didn't get a call, i got a text... several.
@boudinMan Did you text back and ask them to stop?
boudinMan · 61-69, M
@ElwoodBlues hell no.

Were is the evidence ?

@Fa8393 This happened to me personally. It is a first-hand account.
@Fa8393 It's happening enough that many state attorneys general have taken up the issue

Oct 24, 2024
This week, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel joined attorneys general from across the country in sending a warning letter to iDentidad Telecom, a Miami-based company that provides robocall services.

The letter says a multi-state task force on Robocalls has learned that the company "is transmitting suspected illegal robocall traffic on behalf of one or more of its customers" and cautioning it to cease immediately.

“More than just an annoyance, illegal robocalls can result in scams that hurt Michigan residents,” Nessel said in a statement. “Holding businesses like iDentidad responsible for their part in sending these suspected unlawful calls is a priority for my office. We will continue to collaborate with our partners across the country to protect consumers and stop illegal robocall traffic.”
Good for you! It’s absolutely sickening the depths he and his lawless, brainwashed cult will sink to in their own private sewer!

Show us a link to the law that outlaws those calls, or admit you just made that up.
@Reason10 Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 (TCPA)
This law addresses telephone marketing calls and practices, including robocalls. The FCC adopted rules to implement the TCPA, including the establishment of a national Do-Not-Call registry.

The Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 is codified in the United States Code as 47 U.S.C. § 227.

P.S., two minutes of googling to shut down an ijit is worth it.
@Reason10 And, speaking of violating laws,

According to Jack Smith's most recent filing, Trump used burner phones to lobby state officials to overturn the 2020 election. This is a federal records law violation and proof of criminal intent, among other things.

Trump called the Michigan speaker, on an unofficial line marked "Spam Risk Egypt" to discuss fraud allegations. Proving he tried to cover his tracks, and these were not protected "official acts"

-Trump used a burner phone, routed through a foreign country to contact Michigan house speaker.

-He tried to pressure the speaker in this off book call.

-Speaker McCarthy knew about the burner phone line.

-The phone showed up as “Spam Risk Egypt” on caller ID.

If the President thought his attempt to overturn the election and forge elector documents were legitimate “official acts” why was he using an insecure, foreign routed burner phone for these calls?

P.S. Trump’s own legal team did not dispute the authenticity of *anything* unsealed from the Smith filing.

Caller ID = Spam risk Egypt

@ElwoodBlues Just more evidence of Trump circumventing the law. As if we needed it to know he's a criminal deep in his heart.
