He actually believes tariffs across the board are good. What they do is patch the hole in the budget for tax reduction to the top 1%. trump will be fixing his budget shortfall and the deficit he created on Americas back. What nations will have exceptiins to the tariffs RUSSIA, CHINA, NORTH KOREA? And what countries will be targeted? NATO WILL BE THE TARGET OF THE TARIFFS TO GUT THEIR GDP AND REMOVE THE CASH THAT DEFEND NATO FROM RUSSIA?

Don't you think putting tarrifs on imports will cause more products to actually be made in U. S. A. ?

@pdockal so how long will it take to transition manufacturing to America from offshore? 5 years, 10 years and you are willing to pay excessive tariffs for that time on a flawed belief? Because some bone head says something it doesn’t mean its true or right.

Our phones, computers, TVs, and most everything electronic are made in China or Asia. This is nothing new. Not one VCR has ever been made in the USA—all those VCRs. I used to sell appliances. There was only one microwave that was made in America—Tappan. Its design was far behind Japanese-made items, but I sold more of them, saying they were made in the USA than any other. Plus, I got the most considerable commission on them. We couldn't keep them in stock. I sold inferior products because I made the most money when I should have been selling them a better product.

Trump doesnt understand economics at all. All he sees is "more money...good" But doesnt care that American citizens will be the ones paying. This isnt like the Spanish in south America who just rode in and took everything before killing off the locals.. Or maybe it it??😷

Tariffs will just make goods more expensive for buyers as the sellers pass the cost on so it will make consumers poorer and reduce demand for the goods, it is a regressive tax an idea pushed by a person with a regressed brain.

Growing pains??? Do you comprehend what this will do to our economy? The by line for maga us the cost of living, and you support up to 100% tariffs in imports. trump a few months ago was beaming over how much money we will collect from the tariffs, this is all because if he doesnt find an alternate funding source for the us government the deficit will grow astronomy. He has to pay for the internment camps somehow, aand provide do nothing jobs to the maga faithful some how. As a retired auto worker I am very sensitive to imports, it would be interesting what brand car do most maga's drive, I would think its a toyota or Nissan?

The false belief of GOP supporters is the tariffs will force companies to build new factories in the USA, this is a false belief. Companies are global entities regardless of trade names and take a number of things into consideration when picking manufacturing locations. The tariffs only affect the consumers, not the companies , and customer bases exist outside of the USA . Often reasons for relocation are based on labor costs and poorly educated workforce issues, a lazy and stupid workforce, and logistics.
