More BS from the Kum crowd

More lies from Kum crowd. Gun violence is NOT the number one cause of death for children in America. They get that statement by including 18-19 your olds. Last time I checked 18 and 19 yo are adults..

No one voted against mandatory background checks, they are already mandatory when purchasing a firearm from a licensed dealer. They are NOT required in most states for private sales as they should NOT be.

The 2 nd amendment is just as vital today as it was the day it was ratified. The government has no authority to change or restrict it. It's purpose is to prevent the government from passing any laws , regulations or restrictions
keeping citizens from access to firearms.

You should all respect that when you vote . Our constitution doesn't guarantee that you can live without fear , but it does insure our access to firearms to protect ourselves our family , our property and our country from tyranny and hostile invaders.

Your description of the history of the Second Amendment is flawed. It was not interpreted to allow preserve the right of every American to have a gun until a Supreme Court 5-4 decision in 2008. There was more than 100 years legal precedent to the contrary in the lower courts until then.

In 1791 the firearms available were muskets and flintlock pistols. No one even dreamed of weapons that could kill 20 people in a school classroom or a WalMart in the space of a minute.

Your logic and alleged history lesson is little more than wishful thinking based on your personal values.

@PowerofStories Not at all. That is the reason it is worded that way. They fully intended for civilians to have access to weapons capable of defending against a standing army of the day.

@goodlil666 So you think the founding fathers invisioned a gun that could fire 800 musket balls per minute?
Patriot96 · 56-60, C
@PowerofStories the weapons were designed for defense ( arms) . Never intended for mass wa.mart shootings.
The individuals do the killings
goodlil666 · 51-55, M
@Patriot96 Those are exactly the type of weapons needed to defend against a standing army of today.
goodlil666 · 51-55, M
@Vin53 what they invisioned was the citizens to have weapons that could defend against a standing army of the day whatever that may be. A weapon necessary for the security of a free state. That's why it is worded that way.

@goodlil666 Do you think they envisioned jets flying to deliver ordinance from 800 miles away?

That's why America has no fear of invasion.
