Americans, why are you so afraid of free healthcare?

Universal healthcare is a wonderful thing. Why are so many americans against it?

Probably because Americans have not seen a real comparison between the amounts they are paying now to private companies, and the amount taxes would be risen.
I agree that universal health system is good, but being careful with which diseases and surgeries are covered, and who has the right to get it. And this is a great debate.

nhs in uk treats you for any illness,and our natioanl insurance ocvers oyu no matter what illness oyu have, why would peopel happily pay taxes and get ntohign back
