Liberal Governor Whitmer Mocks Catholic Communion

I have no idea if there are as many Democrats who profess to "hate" Christians (or any religious faith) as there are Republicans, Greens or non-aligned people who do.

Do you?

On the other hand, I have no idea how many of any political party or none are also Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh, Hindhi, Wiccan, agnostic, atheist.... nor of what sect in any faith.

Do you?

Nor do I have any idea what, if any, point that childish 2-second "video" is supposed to make.

However, isn't there already enough bitterness in party-politics without trying to drag religion into it and foment sectarian bitterness as well?

Perhaps the best approach to things like that clip is to ignore them.


Oh - and Communion is not only Roman Catholic. It is celebrated in Anglican services too.

I rarely go to church, mainly only for funerals, but did attend a friend's Ordination to Deacon of a friend. Though I did not partake in the Communion I did note that it offered a gluten-free wafer option!
