@MasterLee The $750 is the first payment, not the only payment, or the last payment. It gives people money to spend up front on supplies . It actually when up. When Trump was in office, they would have only received $500.
@Musicman the process doesn't happen instantly. They don't drive around with bunches of cash to hand out. A good part of it will go to replacing infrastructure that has been damaged or destroyed too. All that takes time.
@Sevendays Sadly I don't believe all of this. It sounds good though. Private citizens have donated millions of dollars and supplies. During hurricane Ian I had flood insurance through FEMA. They flat out told me they were not paying a penny on my claim and suggested I apply for a loan to the SBA.

@jackjjackson We’ve heard from the people involved. The Governors from the states impacted by the storm. All of them are grateful for the job FEMA is doing. @jackjjackson FEMA SSP is a completely different pool of money; completely separate from disaster relief. Congress specifies that SSP money can be given to local governments for humanitarian services including services to migrants. All specified by Congress.
The lie being told by trumpsters is that FEMA Disaster Relief Funds are going to migrants. That's a big fat LIE!!

I paid $4000 a year to FEMA for flood insurance. When I filed a claim FEMA told me they were not paying and to apply to the SBA for a small business loan. What does the SBA have to do with our place being flooded and after paying $4000 a year just for flood insurance why didn't they pay off??? FEMA doesn't have a good reputation.
