I don't actually see an issue with this. You are a guest in someone else's country. He makes an effort to behave like it.

Whereas say an American President or British PM get off the plane in Delhi and expect to be treated like it is Dayton, Ohio or London, England.

How sincere is it? Impossible to say. I can't read the man's thoughts.

@Jenny1234 Sihk temple I would expect. Same thing applies on a smaller scale.

But I also remember a similar "controversy" when he traveled to India.

It is interesting nobody commented on Obama wearing a Yamaka for the same reasons for his presidency.

Is it because Sihks are a minority they don't deserve the same courtesy?

@Jenny1234 Maybe in that tiny enclave, but claiming the GTA looks like Punjab is a huge stretch.

The point is stuff like this is done by some leaders as a sign of respect to the community they are interacting with.

If a bunch of WASPs freak out that is a them problem.

@JimboSaturn my thinking is he is only doing it to get votes. I like the Indians and sikhs hell you know where I live. But he is wearing the turban for the wrong reasons. But that’s what Trudeau does
