I took your question seriously and answered it.
It's tough to comment on other people's cultures, they get defensive.
I had a few Brits block me a couple of weeks ago when I chided them for acting like the right wing was the sole problem and instigator of violence in your country. While what I said might have been true, maybe people didn't' want to hear it. 🤷♂

@SumKindaMunster Didn't see your comment first time round but in the UK more and more SM celebrities are exposing the way the country works ie somebody steals during a riot = prison within a week. Somebody from a religion of peace beats up a police officer= not enough evidence. Ordinary people know what the score is but we can't understand why the authorities are allowing it to happen.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@GeniUs Regarding the authorities...their salaries and livelihoods come from the people in power. They are signing the paychecks. So they will conform. Every time.
And I appreciate your comment. Many of your fellow countrymen believe it is the right wing conservatives who are the problem.

@SumKindaMunster The right wing was on the whole to blame.

@autumngirl27 No, the people who stopped listening are the ones to blame.

@Aysel No. There has been circulation of nonsense stories for years in the press about how white people are being "oppressed in their own country", lapped up by readers and viewers of such media, aided and abetted by dog whistling poilticians . What do you call, for example, calls by "councillors" who called for refugee hostels to be torched? Whatever your opinions about immigration, there is no excuse for dehumanising words and phrases.

@autumngirl27 I'm not white, and my background is quite diversified. I mean, if you've read about the French Revolution, you'll know that a "breaking point" occurs when people feel unheard by their government, so again, the ones who are to blame are the ones who stopped listening, the ones who failed to acknowledge that this could be and well is a problem.

@Aysel The white population is eing listened to. The white population has access to express their views, and the common complaint is they want freedom of speech, but don't want anyone else to have their say. They claim their views are not being listened to but their views are often demanding their opponents be silenced. They can't have it both ways, but that doesnt stop them wanting it.
@autumngirl27 You think Grenfell (which was accidental) is funny? You think people burning to death is funny?
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@autumngirl27 Well at least you will admit to the violence of Muslims, so there is that.
It's not an all or nothing scenario. I don't believe violence is ever called for against law abiding citizens minding their own business.
But your leaders have promised and promised and promised they would clean up immigration. But they haven't.
And well meaning, but indoctrinated citizens just like you constantly fall all over yourself to push your authoritarianism.
Btw the Southport killer was British.
He was the son of first generation immigrants. You are technically correct, but I note the desperation with which you make that comment. It's telling how important it is for you to make that assertion. Have you anything to day about those white politicians who are calling for immigrants to be burned alive ( particularly vile after the Grenfell tragedy)? No? Maybe you'd like to address that instead of tossing accusations about?

Do they??? Do they really? How come they are arresting people for social media posts then?

@SumKindaMunster Yes they do, as well you know. But Inciting racial violence is a crime, whether it is a politician on a platform or on social media. And dont try authoritarianism against me as you want to vote for an extremely authoritarian government.

Loads of videos on here about police inactivity when it comes to people from certain groups.

@autumngirl27 You think the threat of being arrested due to a social media post means White people can express their views?
I beg to differ. That's ridiculous and yes it is absolutely authoritarian.
But but but Truuuuummmp is your strawman reply...🙄

authoritarian /ə-thôr″ĭ-târ′ē-ən, ə-thŏr″-, ô-/
adjective
Characterized by or favoring absolute obedience to authority, as against individual freedom.

@SumKindaMunster How is it "strawman"? You are the one who raised authoritarianism, not me. We all have to abise the law. Why do you think there are these laws? If you said it in the street, you wuld be arrested for inciting racial hatred and violence. You think sending people monkey emojis or telling them to "get out of my country" is acceptable? To people who are born in this country and pay taxes to this country? I've got news for you...it ain't.
So do you think abiding any law is "authoritarian"? That sounds like anarchy. Do you want that? Or is it it only the people you want to break the law? Are you keeping up with that "freedom of speech" thing?

You aren't responding relevantly to the point, which is the violence being perpetrated in the UK and who is doing that...my comment that this is authoritarianism has NOTHING to do with Trump or the US elections. Not a thing. But you deflected to it because you had nothing relevant to say.
Of course its not acceptable but you are going to arrest somebody and throw them in jail for what they say on social media? You sure you want to go down that path? You'll be next deary. Or someone you care about.

@autumngirl27 No, you don't get it sweetheart. My point was that violence is being perpetrated by the Muslim communities in the UK, but that is being ignored and the emphasis is being put on the right wing. You denied this, and then expressed some authoritarian tendencies which I noted.
You've deflected and denied and are trying to make the argument a moral one, where you try to shame me for not showing enough sympathy for racial hatred in your country.
It's not my concern. My argument is that your country's leaders are leading you to a 3rd world country with rampant immigration from the 3rd world. I really don't care if someone's feelings were hurt on a social media post.
And there ABSOLUTELY is a difference between being harassed online and being harassed in person. Perhaps you should get out more.
It's shocking and sad to me to see the UK filled with indoctrinated twits.
Remember this when you are accosted on the street by bearded, robed men demanding you cover up. Remember this when your favorite deli mysteriously burns down, and you KNOW who did it, but the police don't care...

I feel sorry for people who believe this. You say you have been harassed in real life but I have my doubts. Anyone who has experienced violence and harassment personally can attest it is way different than somebody making an online threat. It is quite easy to log off, shut down your computer and get on with your day. It's completely different in real life. This is a sign of immaturity and lack of experience on your part. Too bad for you.
It's interesting how your anecdotes and experience are to be taken seriously, but my opinions and experience are just right wing propaganda.
You would be well served to spend some time in a moderate Muslim country like Morocco, or Saudi Arabia, or Qatar. That would help you gain some more personal experience since your entire world view is based on your personal, selfish opinion.
I believe you would be relieved to come back to the UK after that.
You might like to think there is a difference between harrassed in pwrson and on line. There is absolutely none.

I dont know anyone who has. And I live in a very diverse area. In fact, i feel safer in this area now, than in my home town, whetre I was often sworn at, spat at and threatened by English white people. If I was being totally frank, I felt unsafe in my own town from people who look just like me

You make claims about me, then you cry when I make claims about you. That, dear sir, is a definition of hypocrisy. I hear your latest comment and it is one Ive heard those of your opinion say a lot "If you like foreigners that much, go live abroad". There is not one iota of selfishness about anything I said, because I have already stated, my experiences are shared by so many. But you choose to ignore that.
It's more interesting to note that you accused me of being indoctrinated, yet your comments betray yourself as having been indoctrinated.

@SumKindaMunster Online abuse is the same as abuse face to face. Because the thought process is exactly the same. Worse infact, because the sort who abuse online are very often those who wouldnt say a word face to face. Keyboard warriors. Or to give them their correct word, cowards. It has nothing to do with "lack of experience" as you so condescendingly say.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@autumngirl27
Nobody's crying, I'm merely stating facts. You live in a bubble and aren't interested is piercing that bubble because you seemingly have invested a good part of your personality in being defensive and angry.
Perhaps that is more of the bubble you seem to live in. That's not my experience. But who cares right? I'm just a right wing troll. 😆
Only a person's whose never been accosted or harassed in person would say this. It's laughably naive. By all means, don't take my word for it, go out and get into a confrontation in person. See how that feels compared to being harassed online. It's not the same thing, at all.
My point was merely to suggest you expand your worldview a bit. Living online is nowhere near the experience of living in the real world.
I tell you this, because it's clear you are sheltered and naive.
