China does not have religious freedom -- just ask any member of the various oppressed religions.

How would you define religious freedom? Are Christians in America allowed to dictate what goes on in public schools where their children are subject to anti-Christian indoctrination?

@sree251 Nope, which is a good thing. But they are free to send their kids to a religious school to have them indoctrinated there. Same for Jews, Muslims, Sicks, Hindus, etc. And it find it interesting that you find a decent general education to be "anti-Christian indoctrination."

Your suggestion is good provided there is school choice and all public schools are funded by fees paid by parents who send their kids there.

@sree251 No way -- taxes should go ONLY to public schools. You want your kid educated in some religious way or in a school where they won;lt mix with the "wrong" kind of people, pay for it yourself. The government has an obligation to provide a non-sectarian, general education to its children, not to fund religious, ethnic, or racial indoctrination for kids.

The government is the people, and the people are us. We don't have an obligation to provide any education that is not of the kind we want for our own children. To each his own. In a free society, let parents pay for the education for their own kids.

@sree251 Well, if you like chaos, bigotry, and superstition, go ahead with your plan.
