I'd hate to be a teacher in America right now.

So much has been politicised that isn't elsewhere .

Having an inclusive attitude to all kids, teaching evolution and history as it actually happened are all part of the 'woke mind virus,'

'Mom's for liberty' or 'Karens for the Handmaids tale' know nothing about teaching but are deciding how professionals do their job.

I get that what I read is just the worst examples and that it doesn't go on everywhere but this is doing a lot of damage. The British right has a habit of picking up ideas from America so...

@HootyTheNightOwl Does politics have anything to do with our job? Well, we do indoctrinate kids with Arabic numerals.
@Burnley123 That's all Starmer's fault!!! All you've got to do is convince everyone that the planet is solid gold and everything will be solved.

@Burnley123 Well, the positive thing is that last time the British right tried to go full-Trump their PM lasted less than a literal salad, at least 🤞🏻

@Elessar Yeah, cos things going badly will make them learn and change their political ideology! 😝

Truss still literally and sincerely belives that the 'woke' civil service crashes the economy.

@HootyTheNightOwl Starmer is Rishi Sunak's second term. People don't listen to me but I am standing by this.

@Burnley123 For once, I agree with you... You didn't have elderly and disabled people getting murdered on Sunak's watch...

@Elessar I'd go further in the sense in that Truss was the biggest single reason that the Tories lost the last election so spectacularly. America is a bigger and richer country so its somewhat insulated from the impact of bad economic decisions.

Our electorate is very anti-immigration though and our right is increasingly importing the US culture war.

@HootyTheNightOwl
or once, I agree with you

My apologies. I realise how bad that must hurt! 🤐
@Burnley123 Don't get too used to it - you're still a Tory, and normal service will resume shortly.

@Burnley123 Agreed, but my point is that Truss was the American president instead of the English PM the avg republican voter would keep reelecting her over and over just to own the libs. I mean, see it happening in real time with Trump. In Britain at least she indeed took the party down.
@Burnley123 YES Arabic numerals! And the 0 which came from further away...
