Governments are here to stay.

Governments are the modern-day equivalent of emperors, kings, and warlords of the past. Governments of every stripes, whether democratic or not, are institutional rulers of the people by the people. Representatives may come and go but the institution stays in place.

@easterniowegin Of course. They are in the employ of the ruling elites. The people are the legs of the centipede. They can never walk on their own. They are part of a body (politic) over which they have no control.
