Where Is A Teddy Roosevelt Today?
It has come to pass thru manipulation, corporate lobbyists, our for-profit legislators, and the main-stream media have all been complicit in orchestrating the oligarchy ruling class we have in America today. They have been for the past 50 years instrumental in laying waste to the American dream for millions of Americans. The anti-trust laws have been cast aside in favor of the ever-powerful mega donors that have kept the gravy train rolling especially for the DNC. The consequences have had far reaching adverse effects on our economy.
Now in the midst of the 21st..century with the world a tinder box the polarization of American society has been the catalyst for much if not all of the nation's distress. Need we be reminded it was Teddy Roosevelt who used the power of the Presidency that ushered in what is called "The Square Deal" for the American public at a time much similar to the times of today. The corporate take-overs in every aspect of American life have resurfaced to the point that our nations quality of life has greatly diminished just in the last 50 years.
Much of our civil liberties, and our rights have been stripped away by government intrusion in our daily lives all because of the disingenuous foreign and domestic policies that our legislators in Washington keep forcing on the American public. When the current Administration keeps emphasizing that our economic fortunes have been stabilized and actually have grown since the Pandemic which by the way has been a major focal point of how their policies have greatly improved the economy couldn't be farther from the truth.
When the latest economic report shows that the economic fortunes of the US have suffered greatly under the current Administration's policies hit the nail on the head as they say. They have had a very negative impact on our economy. Rather than an influx of thousands of jobs created is in sharp contrast to what has actually happened. Not only is a very sharp decline in employment opportunities of over 800,000 jobs lost but of the few that have been filled are tied to our lax immigration policies of the last few years. The US is not alone in being negatively impacted by the influx of immigration. Sweeden and much of the other countries in Europe are suffering the same fate as we are.
With the Presidential campaign ragging both Trump and Harris have failed introduce how they intend to restore balance in our society, impose the Immagration policies that we had during the 1960's, secure our energy grid, upgrade and modernize our infrastructure, reduce the negative impact of Global Warming, and in general empower the American public so that every citizen has the availability and the ability to climb up that ladder of upward mobility.
The history of the United States has shown that when we elect a President, they in turn have a major responsibility in leading the American public and more recently the world in ushering in new ideas, programs, and policy directives that will have long reaching impacts on American society and the rest of the world. What Teddy Roosevelt, FDR, and JFK did they had those effects on the American public and the rest of the world. It is that kind of leadership we need today. Unfortunately, neither of our present leading contenders have the spirit of our Founding Fathers or both Roosevelts or JFK..
A sad commentary for we have allowed ourselves to be pawns in the game of corporate influence that has taken over our democratic republic. Our constitutional rights and our freedoms have all been sequestered in the name of power, control and wealth by the failure of the American public to recognize the dangers that money has become the sole influencer in our election process.
When someone once said that in order to change the rules of our election process where money isn't the great empowerment of an individual in securing either a Senate seat or the Presidency one has to first play the game as is and win the election in order of implement changes that will equal the playing field for those who otherwise couldn't even consider campaigning for public office. When so much money is involved in today's elections the risk of corruption is too great to ignore. We the public to which our elected officials work for us and not the other way around we have the ability to rally behind what our Founding Fathers, Teddy Roosevelt, FDR, and JFK envisioned for this country. We should always remember what they instilled in the hearts and minds of millions even today.
