@Pfuzylogic He can't present anyone with equivelency of honor between the civilian medals and military medals because congress never set any set equivelency. Which civilian medal is the equivelency of a bronze star? Of a silver star? Pure speculation.

The reason congress is the one that decides such issues is because the US Founding Fathers during the constitutional convention took after Machiavelli who advocated for legislative control over medals.

The only equivelency I've ever heard of between civilian medals and military medals in The Purple Heart. Sometimes Congress passes legislation awarding it to civilians in certain situations. The executive branch does the number crunching for congress and the president or some other executive officer presents it.

Congress clearly doesn't really care too much about civilian medals and honors. You gotta be dead to get on currency. Just about anyone can get on a postage stamp, fu'king sea turtles and balloons have managed to get on stamps.

@Dignaga I do think donnie valued it more since he alone determined the qualification for his award, something he wouldn’t dare due with a serious award such as what the military requires. Honestly the Republican Party should vet out draft dodgers from their circle of candidates for President!

@Pfuzylogic Doesn't matter on a constitutional level what the president thinks, it's what congress thinks. If they delegated it to the president then they really don't want to be bothered. They think that little of it. It's their constitutional right to change the regulations regarding the awarding of medals if they feel offended.

With absurd awardees of Rush Limbaugh and Jim Jordan, Congress should have smacked his hands and taken the awards back. Can you imagine the rioters that planned to harm Congress getting pardoned? A universe ruled by the “logic” of trump.

@Pfuzylogic Congress might not be allowed to retroactively take away awards save in the case of fraud, given how these laws are written, doubt the courts would approve rewards being yanked once lawfully awarded.

As to Trump, he was a fully, 100% lawful president and was entitled to award them, and he nor congress is required to pass your bar for logic, nor any political party. They were elected, that is what matters.
