Trump dishonors veterans everywhere... again.

Another slam to combat veterans and especially those who were awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor...

From the draft dodgers mouth:

“That’s the highest award you can get as a civilian. It’s the equivalent of the congressional Medal of Honor, but civilian version,” Trump told attendees at an event at his Bedminister, N.J. club, attended by GOP mega donor Miriam Adelson, who was awarded the Medal of Freedom in 2018.

“It’s actually much better, because everyone who gets the congressional Medal of Honor, that’s soldiers, they’re either in very bad shape because they’ve been hit so many times by bullets, or they’re dead. She gets it, and she’s a healthy, beautiful woman,” Trump said in reference to Adelson. “And they’re rated equal.”

Subverting the democratic process through attempting to kidnap and assassinate lawmakers to prevent them from certifying the electoral victory of the winning presidential candidate because he wasn’t the one she and the rest of the insurrectionists voted for was the stated goal of the violent mob she joined and then spearheaded. Much more like she was met with the appropriate level of force to neutralize the threat presented both by the mob in general and her in particular after repeatedly being asked to stand down after breaking apart the glass to the doorchamber of the House of Representatives in an attempt to breach it. Go peddle your false equivalencies somewhere else.

Too bad for this woman that she was at the head of a violent rampaging mob attempting to break down the chamber to the House of Representatives, with said Representatives covered as they left the chamber by a rearguard of federal police officers who do indeed have a license to kill if those for whom they are primarily responsible for safeguarding are placed at jeopardy, especially when given several orders to repeatedly stand down. Again, go peddle your false equivalencies and attempt at historical revisionism somewhere else.

@TheRascallyOne Gee, that’s funny-I’ll be sure to let anyone not using a gun to perpetrate armed rebel violence know that it’s not simply not possible for them to perpetrate acts of armed rebel violence because they’re not using a gun, as well as informing victims of homicidal behavior committed by armed rebel violence that it wasn’t really possible for those acts to have been committed, since guns weren’t among the weaponry!

ETA: Also not surprising that you haven’t found a mention of guns or bombs used on that date since then, given the news organizations where you’re most likely to source your news from having a vested interest in reframing the narrative and trying to defend the indefensible, as they serve as the propaganda arm for the candidate under whose incitement the insurrection was carried out.
