Tim Walz Supposed Stolen Valor Cap (partial debunking).
This took me alot longer than I wanted it to find. I was given this photo earlier today:
And I couldn't quite make out the pixilated image. Looks like it had a arrow going up and down, and it was implied it was operation enduring freedom (afghanistan).
I couldn't find a single emblem, crest, or design matching it on several image searches on various seach engines. I couldn't reverse image search it beyond Aug 7, but it had a reliable website fkr the hughest resolution image, The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Resolution was still terrible so I looked up amazon.com for such hats, nothing. Camo was similar to special forces hats. Russian sjtes thought it was russian military but no close matches.
Finally I just went looking for hats Walz wears. Finally found it:
He is for some reason wearing a Special Forces hat.
He was field artillery, not special forces. The state of Minnesota does NOT have a SF national guard unit (only Massachusetts and West Virginia do). So it is indeed a case of stolen valor, but NOT of Operation Enduring Freedom. I did hear he was seen parading around with a protest banner pretending to be a Afghan vet, but haven't seen the pic yet.
His statements alone are incriminating, but it's important to get these things right so I'm partially debunking it. Still Stolen Valor and he beyond a doubt knew not to do this.
