Who's Running The Country When Kamala Is Campaigning?

White House recently claimed it had no knowledge of Israel's strike on the Ismail Haniyeh, and Iran has ordered a direct strike on Israel. Now, this is no big deal, admittedly, most everything Iran launched against Israel failed to reach Israel or was intercelted last time.... I've had iranian missiles launched at me before, they aren't very accurate, sometimes the safest spot to be is exactly where they are targeting.

It's quite possible Biden isn't lying. Maybe nobody told him. He's old and mentally feeble, and when the President is mentally incompacitated, and a article 25 hasn't been activated, the Secretary of Defence is supposed to run military affairs, the VP everything else. But US military policy the last few years hasn't been coherent or understandable. It's not the product a career military mind. So I'm assuming a work around has been put in place over time. But I'm uncertain who exactly is running things. It might be Kamala, it might be a committe of people, not necessarily the same committe as the cabinet. Nobody is likely to know for years until historians piece this all together.

But lets assume it is being run by Kamala. Who is running the White House when she is gone? There isn't funding or protocols for the various government departments to directly report the status of the united states to the VP, it's supposed to do this to the President, a currently mentally disabled President.

Would American allies bother to report such information with the US if they know the info isn't even reaching the President?

Just because he’s old doesn’t mean he can’t do the job for another few months.
@SW-User I'm not claiming his age is the obstacle. I'm claiming his dementia is.
SW-User
@Dignaga he doesn’t have dementia. If his doctors had diagnosed him with dementia, he would have formally stepped down as president.
@SW-User No, he wouldn't. There is no mandatory mechanism requiring the president to leave. There is a legal pathway for the cabinet to depose him, but they don't have to. Also, President can just fire the lot of them if he suspects it is happening, and doesn't have to reconsititute a new cabinet or select a new VP.

We are in the position where they merely threatened to use the 25th in exchange with letting him run things till "Kamala is sworn in". Which is a constitutionally bizarre position to be in. I expect a new constitutional admendment to be approved within the next few years to fux this blackmail loophole. We literally don't know who is running things. All the repubkicans want Biden officially replaced by Kamala, all the Democrats are acting suddenly relieved like it is a good thing Biden isn't running for president anymore.... he isn't all there. It isn't his age, if he was acting competent and sharp they never would of tried this. He's mentally incompetent. That's the reason, and everyone sees it. We have a care taker administration in place, and nobody is exactly sure who is running things. Logically it should be Kamala (except on defense issues). So who is running things when she isn't around? We don't have the executive branch set up to report everything to the VP and get the VP's approval first. When we came up with the rules, it was envisioned as a president suffering a stroke but not dead yet, or being kidnapped, or missing in action. Something short, where the VP is in the White House ready to be sworn in under a few hours or days. Not years.

Who is running the white house when Kamala isn't around, running for President? I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt it is usually her when she is around, might not be.

@SW-User Trump has been acting consistently Trump for years, sake as when he was the President. Absolutely no chamge in behavior. You can hate that behavior, but it is consistent.

How could he do a job he hasn't done in 3 1/2 years...
SW-User
@Snuffy1957 Funny, things seem to be going pretty well. The economy is roaring, renewable energy is rising, inflation is falling.
SW-User
@Dignaga Oh I do hate that behavior. He is not fit to be president. And thankfully, it seems that America (except for his Base) is finally turning against him.

@SW-User I'm in Pittsburgh, the western PA target kamala has to win, and haven't seen a single Biden or Kamala Harris political sign or shirt yet. I've seen it for Trump. There is no enthusiasm for her here. Absolutely none. And she has to win here.

One of the problems you have is you are not in America. The Dems here are in a bubble, but do from time to time have to venture out to rub elbows with the working class. They support Trump. You never do. So you don't see it. How could you? You are a foreigner.
SW-User
@Dignaga Well, that's because she's not the nominee yet. That will change.
@SW-User She's the nominee, she has all the delegates needed already secured. Easiest election to win is a rigged one.
SW-User
@Dignaga Ah, so you're an "independent" election denier as well. That's all I need to know. I also don't see how an election can be "rigged" when no-one is standing against her.

(or do you believe they were "encouraged" to step aside 🙄)
@SW-User It's rigged because it'a a one man race. We always have more than one person running in a election, even for primaries, even in my puny prohibition party, we had more than one.
@Dignaga Did someone say dementia??

SW-User
@Dignaga Erm, guess what? No-one is standing against Kamala by choice. No one can be FORCED to stand against a candidate. The Democrats, rightly, are favoring unity after the incumbent CHOSE to step down.
