Somebody is making the decisions that the President makes.
No... the administration guides the executive branch in the descisions that they want to make.
And that is not a bad thing.
Unless you believe that someone voted in as the head of the executive branch, suddenly has expertise on every toppic that the executive branch has some influence or power over.
People that talk like yourself, just want to weaponize ignorance and authoritarians, by cutting out dissident voices. While informed dissident voices can teach someone more then those voices that constantly agree with you.
Joe Biden is living proof of this fact. He was told when to stand for office, and when to go.
Joe Biden was not told by the administration. He got pressured by people inside of his party, by donors, media outlets and even voters that might vote democrat. It was also the "Biden - Harris" campaign, which makes it logical that Harris steps up when the prime candidate steps down.
His replacement is chosen and not elected.
Internal party politics, are not democratic. They govern themselves according to how they see fit.

Who is "you"? This is a dialogue, a conversation among people to resolve a problem of the US Government. Yes, the US Government is a problem. There are those who don't see the problem regardless of an unsustainable national debt of $35 trillion driven by a fixation on fighting foreign wars at the expense of American lives and welfare at home.
Let's talk. Can you talk? Not quarrel. Talk as you would in a democracy.

Yeah... and where does that perception come from? 😅
It comes from a party, lead by a demagogue that plays on peoples in emotions. These people complain all the time, and a segment of the public falls for it. But the rest of society should not be lead by a segment of the poppulations' imagination and feelings.
Oh, we went from "perception" to "it's real"... that's convenient.
A country, is also not someons private enterprise. If a private enterprise is run by a moron that drives it into the ground then that's really sad for all the workers that are going to loose their job. But a country is run by people that have an even bigger stake in the game then just their lifelihoods, it's their entire nation that is at stake. When a moron comes in and starts deciding things that are against the laws or will hurt large portions of the poppulation it's okay for them to question these actions. If you think it's not okay, and that the leader is always right, then you might want to look into what was argued at the Nuremberg Trials, after an entire administration followed the idea that when the leader asks something, it's your task to blindly follow him into the abyss.
And will install that mindless administration, that will boldly go where the guy, that says that he wants to put disinfectant and ultraviolet light into peoples arms, will want them go. It will put people into place, that will execute the orders of a guy that says that they have to deal with protesters by shooting them in the leggs. And the next time the president will ask to declare a vote void because of fraud, they will listen instead of thinking about serving their country because after Project 2025 is implemented they will be serving someones ego.
How was this a policy? ... How did translate into any action?
What I remember, is that he blew up a deal with Iran that allowed Iran to go back to the Status Quo that excisted before, making sure that they could reinstate their nuclear weapon program. He went to Saoudi Arabia to have a little dance and sell them weapons that they can use in an ongoing conflict in Yemen. And he moved the USA embassy to Jeruzalem and made an agreement, where one of the most important stakeholders (the palestinians) weren't even a part of... all because Trump wants to infatuate people like yourself that have apperently lost any capacity for critical thinking when it comes to this guy.
Trump doesn't need the US Governement or a foreign countries, his first targets are inside the US his own border. There is a reason why the country is so polarised, Trump aided a lot defining and creating enemies of his the citizens he should be residing over in his presidential office.
I also don't see how the US Governement "needs" war, the world is complex, conflicts excist, the US is a big player... this utopia where you can just stay on your little island and also be a huge player on the world stage is demented concept to say the least.
In the early 80s there was a big man in the conservative movement, who had an incredible idea... If only we would cut back on the taxes and regulations. Man things would be so much better and we would be so much more free. Alas though... he himself and everyone else that adopted that idea didn't really cut back on expenses to much. And now people that still think that guy was cool, and pretty much voted for all the follow up itterations are complaining about the national debt.
A couple of years ago, a big segment of the Trump base were cheering for another Christian who perceived himself anoited by God. They gave him 8 years. And he crashed the country into a needless war in Iraq where there was no justification for. That same guy also went into a justified war in Afghanistan BUT without a long term strategy. Now that same party and it's voters are blaming the liberals and the US Governement... there is 0 self-reflection in this movement. There entire rhetoric is blaming people and institutions that they don't like for the bad consequences of their own ideas and practises.
And in 2016 a new big guy showed up. He cut taxes, cut regulations, added more then 7 trillion to the national debt. Because he believes that it doesn't matter... 'cause you can just print more money.

He got almost no legeslation passed, most of his promises were void because he didn't know what he was talking about. When it comes to social security for instance, his idea was that he would cut "Obama care" with the stroke of a pen and replace it with something diffrent. But talking is easy... when you have no clue what you are talking about:
[media=https://youtu.be/5oQLf65N-AU?si=SGIBU7WJcVkfeZge]
Without the CDC, Trumps' administration would have done worst on covid. And according to Donald himself, he didn't want to talk about COVID to much to the public because it hurts his chances for the next election.
[media=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJkVOs0s3mw]
On the world stage, he did not make the world a "safer place". Several people of homeland security and the counterinteligence department called Donald a risk. Not to mention, that he plays balls with nations that are considered hostile to the US when it serves his own personal goals. He even admited in an interview that it's okay to break the law as long as he could benefit from it.
[media=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2HsUhK-gI0]
And every election he's been in, he argued that the election was a fraud. Even the one he won. He has no respect for the law and he doesn't care about the constitution. He even makes his lawyers plead in the supreme court in favor of absolute immunity.
... And this is the guy that Project 2025 and a segment of the US population wants to give a mandate to lead and install an administration that will do the leaders bidding. ... when you ask, "what is wrong with project 2025" well, that's a big part that is wrong about the project.
This is the perception of Trump and Americans citizens who share his viewpoint on where America should be heading and voted for him.
Yeah... and where does that perception come from? 😅
It comes from a party, lead by a demagogue that plays on peoples in emotions. These people complain all the time, and a segment of the public falls for it. But the rest of society should not be lead by a segment of the poppulations' imagination and feelings.
Typically, when a new CEO is brought in by the board to turn a company around, there are drastic personnel replacements in the top levels of the administration. Trump had to work with the existing administration that undermined his control.
Oh, we went from "perception" to "it's real"... that's convenient.

Project 2025 is crafted to rectify that the next time he gets into office. Heads will roll and a Trump team will replace existing administration.
And will install that mindless administration, that will boldly go where the guy, that says that he wants to put disinfectant and ultraviolet light into peoples arms, will want them go. One of the main Trump policies was to stop wars.
How was this a policy? ... How did translate into any action?

Apparently, the US Government doesn't need Trump. It needs wars.

Thank you for your response. I will address the points you raised. As an aside, Project 2025 is a wish list. It's intent is to enable the next conservative president to work effectively with an administration committed to helping him/her to implement policies voted for by the people. Of course, Americans like you would be alarmed if those policies are perceived as bad.
America is set up this way to allow every segment of the population a part in decision making for the nation. Sometimes your segment has your way, another time some other segment has its way. We are not a monolithic culture like Japan or China. We are proud of being the home for people from all over the world.
Perception is reality.
It is your private enterprise if you are an American. A country is owned by all its citizens and no one else.
No American president can drive the nation into the ground. He doesn't have that power because Congress holds the money and runs the country along with the President. Congress has multiple committees bird dogging everything the President wants to do in matters of foreign and domestic policies. Do you believe that Biden had been running the country? Do you think JFK was running the country? There are checks and balances that ensure no President ever gets to run the country all by himself even if every citizen, including you, in America voted for him/her. Incidentally, we are heading for the abyss as unwitting passengers in the greatest democracy the world has ever known.
Trump is not president yet. You are letting your fears getting the better of you. All Trump has achieved so far was to shock the system, to wake it up to the possibility that it can be challenged. The American system (aka Deep State) can only be destabilized through entropy. We, including Trump, are all trapped in the system. Project 2025, in my opinion, is wishful thinking. Trump, if he ever gets elected, will work with the system and within the system.
Trump's anti-war policy was never implemented. Esper, his Defense Secretary, slow walked withdrawals from Syria and Afghanistan, and did not implement removal of troops from Germany. This info is from Wikipedia. The Iran deal was scuttled on the advice of John Bolton and Pompeo. The moving of the US Embassy was a dumb move. In this instance, I can empathize with your fear of Trump's recklessness.
America is already a huge player on the world stage as far as commerce and popular culture are concerned. The US Dollar is a reserve currency. Our foreign policy has been one of hegemony and we want to be the only superpower in the world. This contradicts our value of free market capitalism. We see China as a threat because we fear losing out to China as the largest economy and taking our place as the center of world commerce and culture. Also, we are broke because our national debt is unsustainable.
To be continued.
