Politics... I know, you are tired of hearing about politics; but...

I’m going to leave this right here:

The liberals (in the U.S.) are in trouble in the short and long-term… if they don’t get their collective act together.

Say what you will, but the conservative party is organized, and the ultra-conservatives more so.

Don’t believe me? Read Project 2025.

Check out all the smaller but very targeted news media platforms, blogs, and social media traffic, it is heavily dominated by the ultra-conservatives.

Look at all the legislation being passed in Red states, they are organized and in one state after another, you see Bills being passed to further their goals.

This organizing effort isn’t new, it began about the time Reagan was elected, or right before him.

Wake up and smell the roses before it is too late.

That's certainly a problem, but the solution isn't that simple. The democratic voters aren't nearly as organized either, so their politicians need to represent much more different and contradicting viewpoints. It's easy to organize when all your followers only want to force biblical values on everyone. It gets harder when every follower wants something else from you.

And the difference in education doesn't help either. Republicans generally are less educated and can be told what they should want. That doesn't work with a lot of democrats.

@NerdyPotato good point, but it doesn't negate the fact that we (liberals) don't have our collective acts together.
@Ontheroad indeed, your analysis of why they struggle to get voters is spot on. Getting as organized as the opposition isn't possible though. The only real solution is a multi-party system with a coalition rather than winner of two takes all.
