BizSuitStacy the party of slavery, opposing abolition, kkk, Jim crow, and opposing civil rights were the southern Democrats who are today the Republican Party. The southern Democrats were the slave owners of the southern states and the Republicans were the northern States the abolitionists against slavery.
But then in the passing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the voters Rights Act of 1965 the southern Democrats because of their racism and bigotry and there rejection of these new laws switched to the Republican Party and the Republicans of the northern states switched to Democrats.
There has been continued progress in civil rights. Roe versus Wade in 1973. And in these modern days LGBT civil rights. But as you can see today it is the Republicans who reversed Roe versus Wade and are trying to take away the rights of the LGBT community. As well as eliminate the teaching of the history of slavery in our country from public schools.
And as far as Kamala Harris policies as Attorney General of California I fully oppose any of her punitive actions towards minorities and blacks.
This election is about maintaining our democracy and not giving way to a dictatorship under a Trump Administration. Compared to Kamala Harris Donald Trump is a thousand times worse.
