Who will replace Biden?

It’s almost guaranteed he will be stepping down. Kamala can’t beat Trump. Who do you think has the best chance?

@JonLosAngeles66 It’s possible, but I remain doubtful.

@JonLosAngeles66 A Kamala and AOC ticket would be a sure winner.
@Diotrephes I love AOC too. Though I'd rather see Harris/Newsom. Imagine him debating Vance! He knows his numbers and can fact check on the fly. They need a bulldog
RedBaron · M
@JonLosAngeles66 AOC is under 35 and ineligible to run and she couldn’t win anyway.

Harris and Newsom won’t run together as they’re both from California.

And Newsom is an elitist, not a bulldog.
@Diotrephes She can't be on the ticket until Oct. 13th, when she turns 35.

@RedBaron ever heard him debate?
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@Dignaga She can be nominated before then. The election is in November.
RedBaron · M
@JonLosAngeles66 What matters is perception, which is reality, not debating.

If he is perceived and thought of as an elitist, then he is an elitist.

@Diotrephes make occasional cortex a barmaid again

@JonLosAngeles66 she hasn't done anything as vice president.
@Adrift the only job of VP is actually presiding over the Senate. And she set a new record for tie breakers. As for "work" it's always done a bit out of the public eye as is most of the work by a cabinet member. Biden was an anomaly as Obama's VP in terms of high profile work.
@JonLosAngeles66 she was handed the job of overseeing the illegal immigration on the southern border. Did a fly by appearance once near El Paso and hadn't lifted a finger since. She's an utter failure.

But I do like the Harris/AOC combo...easy win for Trump 🇺🇸
@BizSuitStacy Trump ordered the GOP to kill the bipartisan bill so Biden wouldn't look good.

@BizSuitStacy it's true. Insults don't make not true.
RedBaron · M
@Adrift No VP does anything.
@JonLosAngeles66 what's true is that Biden ignored the border, allowed in bad actors, violent criminals, terrorists, human and drug traffickers cross our border for 3½ years. Not only did he not try to stop it. He made it easier for the illegal crossings to happen.

I know you have no clue as to what was in the bill - you're a Pelosi-ite - gotta pass it to find out what's in it. You're among the uneducated masses that repeat CNN talking points

Of the $118.3 billion of the "border package," less than 20% was to be allocated for the actual border. Strike 1. It also included unacceptable asylum conditions. Strike 2. When asks to simply separate out the border funding alone into a separate package, democrats refused. Big surprise. Strike 3.

Y'all did it to yourselves, and in true democrat form, blamed the other party for that which you are at fault.

@BizSuitStacy Ooh touched a nerve there. You know full well Trump ordered Congress to kill the bipartisan border bill.

Screaming about it won't make it any less true.

Pertinent passage:

But Trump’s hammering of the deal, while he uses immigration as a campaign issue, and his demands that Republicans reject it won the day

Pertinent passage:

“As the leader of our party, there is zero chance I will support this horrible, open borders betrayal of America. It’s not going to happen, and I’ll fight it all the way,”
