So the head of the Secret Service won't quit

Despite her utter failure to protect a major political leader, former president and likely future president of the US. Could it be she won't quit because her job was to let said politician die at the hands of an assassin and her job therefore is not complete yet?

Shouldn't be allowed to resign. Needs to be fired.

No conspiracy. Just simple incomptence.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@beckyromero I want to agree with you but NO ONE can have that level of incompetence by accident. Even someone selling merch noticed the slack security. This wasn't an lapse in judgement.

@hippyjoe1955

After Lincoln was assassinated... Garfied and McKinley. (And the plot to kill Lincoln was part of a wider plot to kill the vice president, secretary of state and General Grant.)

There was the attempt on president-elect FDR (in an open car) that ended up with the assassination of the mayor of Chicago.

The break-in at the Blair House in an attempt to kill Truman.

JFK (in an open car)

A hijacker that intended to crash a plane into the White House to kill Richard Nixon.

The attempts on Ford and Carter. Reagan being shot.

Nor is that all.

And that's even before mentioning the incredible intelligence failures with Pearl Harbor and 9-11.

There are levels of incompetence that can be find in everything above. As can be found with the attempt on Trump's life.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@beckyromero The assassin was lying on the roof with his rifle aimed at Trump. The SS snipers had their rifles aimed at the guy's head and were asking permission to take the shot. The order was to wait. The area was scoped out months ago. Anyone with any security knowledge would have recognised that this was not a good area. The best place for the Security snipers to be situated was on the roof where the assassin was lying. That isn't a simple oops. That is intentional negligence.

Absolutely.

Here's what's been reported today.

Supposedly, local law enforcement got the reports of someone on the roof with a firearm. THAT is when (and apparently did not happen) the Secret Service should have been notified and Trump should have been pulled off stage, whether he liked it or not.

Instead, one law enforcement officer helped push another up to the edge of the roof at which the shooter pointed his rifle at him. Unable to get for a gun or radio, the officer fell eight feet to the ground and was injured.

Right after that, the shooter took his shots. How many seconds later we don't know yet.

@beckyromero Multiple people in the crowd noticed the shooter on the roof with a rifle 30 minutes in advance and the SS did nothing about it.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Rolexeo I think a lot of people don't want to believe what is so evidently true. The powers that be wanted Trump dead.

@Rolexeo

Please don't abbreviate the U.S. Secret Service like that.

This was no "Seal Team Six' moment.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@beckyromero It was carefully crafted to make it look like some loon with a long gun had somehow eluded security. Sadly this has become common and still people fall for it. The level of incompetence negligence is simply too great for this to have been what they want you to believe.
beckyromero · 36-40, F
@hippyjoe1955

When you have time, let me know which studio the moon "landing" was produced in.

😉
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@beckyromero this has nothing to do with the moon landing. Let me guess you believe Oswald killed Kennedy too. Go have a look at the roof that was 'too sloped' to have snipers on it (the one the assassin was on) and compare it to the actual sloped roof the SS snipers were on. Why won't she simply say that yes the SS had a huge failure and as such tender her resignation rather than offer such feeble excuses. Because it was a planned execution of a former president.
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
@beckyromero Is that all you have to say? Lol

Oswald DID kill Kennedy. Whether it was on orders from Moscow, we won't know in our lifetime.

I do believe RFK's assassination was likely a conspiracy. Too many crazy angles and bullet holes for just one gun to have made them all. (There's a good investigative story that was done years ago on that and of the later-LAPDchief Darryl Gates saying the reason the LAPD didn't keep the door frames and ceiling tiles was because they didn't fit into filing cabinets.)

You don't read much on SW, do you?
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@beckyromero Oswald was a very poor shot. He most definitely did not kill Kennedy. He was a CIA patsy. The Warren Commission was a CIA cover up. You truly are gullible about these things.
beckyromero · 36-40, F
@hippyjoe1955

Note that I did NOT say that there was not a back-up plan.

If you want to watch a sort of interesting movie on the assassination (with some good acting and some not so good acting), but certainly popcorn fair for 90 minutes.

@beckyromero I don't watch movies. It is a little rule I have.

@hippyjoe1955 His social media was scrubbed too
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Rolexeo Amazing how that works. But nothing to see here. Just bunglecrats bungling another job. Sure good thing no one got hurt..... Oh Wait.

You're not Rogers Hornsby.

Watching movies won't hurt your batting eye,

His social media was scrubbed too

It's reported he basically didn't have much one of.

Seems difficult to believe that a 20-year old wouldn't have one. But then he appears to have been one odd duck.
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
@beckyromero Yeah, no, math not adding up.
beckyromero · 36-40, F
@Rolexeo

Might have had a social media presence without using his name. Or might have used it on a second phone he threw away.

Terrorists use "burner phones." Why rule that out for a would-be assassin?
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@beckyromero Speaking personally I think his social media records were scrubbed. Not that his thoughts matter at the moment. We do know that he contributed to leftist causes even and he registered as a republican. Once again his political registration is meaningless as he may well have registered to vote against a republican candidate in a republican election. Kind of like here all the NDP voters coalesce around a Liberal candidate if it seems like a conservative may win the election. Party affiliation really isn't that strong and indicator of anything.
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
@beckyromero Very unlikely, they can find you still
