How Stupid Do You Have To Be?
To pretend that you were better off in July 2020, than you are in July 2024?
A gentle reminder:
1. In July 2020, people were dropping like flies from Covid.
2. In July 2202, gas was dirt cheap. Oil companies were paying third parties to take oil off their hands. Oh, right, that's because no one was driving anywhere, and people were hiding in their homes.
3. No one was traveling. Airline companies were massively laying off staff and sending planes to dry storage.
4. People were showering with their groceries, in their raincoats, because they were wearing said raincoats as protection as they picked up the groceries that were delivered by Amazon.
5. Movie theaters went out of business.
6. Couples were advised to have sex doggy style, to avoid face contact. On second thought...
7. Dentists were shuttering their offices.
8. Annual checkups were cancelled.
9. Workplaces were shut down and people lost of their jobs. 20 million jobs were lost.
10. The summer vacation was spent around two TVs. One for the infected, and another for those who will be infected any day now.
11. Dating? right!
12. Going out for a beer? right!
13. No vaccine and no prospect of a vaccine, but lots of remedies from the President, including Clorox injections, and a promise that it will blow over, when the summer gets warmer.
and the list goes on.
But at least a few people on SW think those were the good ole days!
President Biden may be suffering from issues related to advanced age, but what's the excuse of those who seem to be able bodied, and seem to think they were doing better in July 2020 than they are in July 2024, and can't understand why everyone else does not share their feelings.
