@Prison1203 these days a republic has a very negative connotation to it. Marjorie Taylor Greene Lauren Boebert and Trump supporters in general. Whereas a democracy as a much more positive connotation. In today's political environment a republic has been twisted and perverted into white supremacy racism and bigotry. It is synonymous with taking away the rights of Americans. So you will excuse me if I don't want to use the words a republic.
