Why the country name of north korea is democratic peoples Republic of korea?

As there is no democracy there.

Petty despots love to put the word 'democratic' or 'peoples' in the title in order to give some basic semblance of being a free state. The Democratic Republic of the Congo is the same deal.

Nope, the DRC used to be called Zaire, and then the Congo before that. Somalia is in east Africa (that pointy bit called the horn) and has an entirely different set of shitty problems.
