The UK's decent into banking stupidity continues
In the city this lunchtime and decided to visit the city branch of my bank.
I make a habit of either using my own branch or one near wherever I happen to be working just to emphasise the point that while bank corporate says it wants to close branches and stick it all online, some of us still want/need the choice in whether we use cash or debit card.
Six cashpoints at the city branch. NONE having the cash withdrawal option available !
I went inside and complained.
I was told part of the system was down but it shouldn't be for long....what am I supposed to do with that information ?
"Well there is another branch across the city" says the hairdo at customer service....before I drag my sorry backside across the city what are the chances their system is also down ?
Given that presumably you're ALL ON THE SAME SYSTEM ?
"Ooh. It is possible" says hairdo.
See. This illustrates why some of us mistrust the banks and would seriously worry if we the customer had no control of our own money.
