@soar2newhighs I agree that Trump, who had the authority and responsibility to send the proper assets to protect the Capitol, failed to do so. And not only did he want it to happen, but was involved in the planning. For once we agree.

Read the report; the District of Columbia, not having the standing of a state, is not able to mobilize a National Guard.
The request to do so was not acted upon for some time...
Just like the WH wouldn't answer calls from then-VP Pence...
