@windinhishair In general, the Gun Control Act of 1968 (GCA) prohibits felons from possessing or receiving firearms and ammunition. However, federal law does not prohibit felons from possessing or receiving antique firearms, which includes most black powder guns and muzzleloaders due to their unique characteristics. However, some muzzle loading models of antique weapons are classified by the ATF as firearms and are therefore not lawful for felons to possess.
