@jshm2 Many US corporations were doing business with the Nazis. A good portion of the US wasn't too keen on getting into another foreign war so soon after the horrors of WW1.
That changed after Pearl Harbor. The US was now at war with Japan....but days later, Hitler declared war on the US.
Now, like it or not, the US was now into WW2 in Europe as well as the Pacific.
