None of this matters until the appeals are exhausted.

@jackjjackson His appeal may very well succeed, but Republicans don’t seem very patient.
@jackjjackson Do you think Republicans will suddenly start accepting the outcomes of trials and elections again after the appeals are exhausted, or do you think this is just a one time thing?

@jackjjackson But it does.. He stands convicted until his appeal is heard and upheld. At this point he could indeed be held in custody if the court sentences him..He is no longer innocent until proven guilty. We did that bit already..😷
@jackjjackson OP said they stopped, not me.
And didnt you just basically say it doesn't matter if they did stop or not, until after the appeals are exhausted?
I'm not sure why that would be. Seems like, if they stop, it would matter.

He won’t be sentenced finally until the appeals are exhausted. You’re correct that until then and possibly after then he is convicted.
You know Biden and Harris are far from the best candidates. Why haven’t you done anything to get better ones? @whowasthatmaskedman

The end is the exhaustion of appeals. That means IT whatever it is is over. @MistyCee
@jackjjackson lol. "It" should have been your "this".
And I still think it matters, probably even if there isnt another Trump so blatantly able to get his followers to aid and abet him.
I do think it's a good point that people shouldn't accept a jury verdict as a final adjudication before appeals are exhausted though.
And obviously, you can accept the finality of what you believe is a wrong verdict.

@jackjjackson OK. Lets engage on your last point. What makes you think America deserves better candidates? Under the current system you just need to beat Trump..Who for the record is now guilty until proven innocent..😷

@jackjjackson says
Trump's sentencing is scheduled for July 11. Convicted felons OFTEN serve time while their appeals are running. In this case, Trump is a first time offender with non-violent felonies, so jail time is unlikely (maybe house arrest and an ankle monitor).
For the time being, Trump is a convicted felon subject to any and all appropriate penalties.
