Donald Trump vs United States

It is not a question of the President being above the law but the right of the Attorney General, the head of the US Department of Justice to fire his boss, the Head of the Executive Branch.

Does this go back to 2021 when Trump was shopping for an AG loyal to him, or is it in connection with the idea that he's President for life?

@MistyCee No,Misty. This just came up when Deep State realized that Trump is coming back for its throat.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@sree251 Who is Deep State? Is that Deep Throat's son?
sree251 · 41-45, M
@windinhishair Deep State was very well explained by Senator Rand Paul. It is the US Government itself that has become what it is due to the culture of those who have been a part of it since forever. It's like any massive American corporation that has outlived its former glory and heading for bankruptcy. We have a debt clock piling on $1 trillion every 100 days now on top of the current $31 trillion debt load.

@sree251 Is that why you love Trump, because he was Deep State and added more to the national debt than any other president in history?
@sree251 @windinhishair Deep State refers to government employees doing their jobs.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@LeopoldBloom You mean the ones who haven't taken a personal loyalty oath to Trump and pledged their fealty to him over their constitutional duties?
sree251 · 41-45, M
@LeopoldBloom
Deep State refers to government employees doing their jobs.

Doing their jobs and wrecking the organization. When I was working in a very successful Fortune 500 company, we had a management system that weeded out deadwood to keep the organization at the cutting edge. It is what Trump needs to install in the Executive Branch for firing guys like Bill Barr, Comey, General Miley, et al before they destroy the effectiveness of their respective departments.
@sree251 🤣. Trump is going to install this "management system"?

Even if you're a fan of Trump's "management style", calling it a system is pretty funny.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@MistyCee I suppose even a Kingdom with an autocratic ruler whose word is final could be considered a "management system". Not a democratic one, but a system of sorts.
@windinhishair Seems like a stretch to me, with a guy who reverses himself all the time based on his perception of the moment, but I see your point.

Trump's momentary whim is the system?
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@MistyCee The system is "whatever is good for Trump at the moment". Whether it is illegal or not is of no importance. And tomorrow the exact opposite could be good for Trump and then that would be the new decision.
@windinhishair Hmm. So if we define the objective of the administration as satisfying Trump's whim at any moment, I guess it works. Seems kind of circular though.

@MistyCee The Trump Management System clearly wouldn't meet the requirements of an ISO management system, because it doesn't have an "organizational culture that reflexively engages in a continuous cycle of self-evaluation, correction and improvement of operations and processes through heightened employee awareness and management leadership and commitment." It would, however meet the definition of a management system, defined as "the way in which an organization manages the interrelated parts of its business in order to achieve its objectives." In the Trump Management System, it would have a sole objective--doing Trump's bidding at all times. A simple objective for a simpleton is highly appropriate.
