Women in France rejoice over enshrined right to abortion

This week, women in France celebrated the newly enshrined right to abort their children.

The US was able to recognize that this right is not constitutional, and could only be if you rewrite the constitution. Since Roe v. Wade was overturned in June 2022, states have been able to decide their own abortion laws.

French president said: "we're sending a message to all women: your body belongs to you and no one can decide for you."

He added he "will not rest" until abortion is introduced to the EU's Charter of Fundamental Rights. In a speech during the ceremony to mark this now constitutional right, he declared this is "freedom, a fight made up of tears, tragedies and broken destinies."

Yes, there are many broken destinies. They are broken because they were taken by abortion.

The Eiffel Tower lit up with the words "#My bodyMychoice." Women in France believe that this is a "victory."

Victory for whom, I wonder?

@Gloomy Medical care is necessary or improves the health of the patient. Abortion has never been about care. Women take a pill to expel their baby, or they get it dissected. They do this because they don't want it, not for any other reason.

@OldMan70 So, abortion is worth it? Most women can tolerate the side effects of the pill, and if they don't they can use other contraceptives.

Am I to assume you think women routinely use abortion? That you believe they are using it as birth control?

If sex is fun, why can't raising the baby produced from it be fun? It was meant to happen, and that is what we are meant to do. We just want to keep inventing a different purpose for ourselves. The solitary life has never gotten anyone anywhere.

Why?

If your body develops cancer, why do you take steps to get rid of it? After all, it's just another natural process.

When people are forced to give birth to a child that they don't want and love, they will eventually kill the child or at the very least, abuse and mistreat the child.

@Diotrephes Cancer seeks to destroy and end life. A baby is what a man and woman create when they have sex, and they are beautiful. It is life, not death.

They don't have to kill or abuse the child. Why do you speak like this is unavoidable or necessary? If this happens, they are the problem.

What do you think an unwanted and unloved baby does? It destroys lives.

Only sick people are unable to see the goodness and personal growth attached to having sweet and beautiful babies. Are you sick?

Women who are forced to give birth to kids they don't want and love will eventually abuse them, get involved with people who will abuse the kids, or kill the kids themselves. It happens in all socieities around the world every day. And, if the kids do survive into adulthood, they are so messed up emotionally that they are worthless as a spouse or parent to any kids they might have themselves.

As I've said, when people are forced to have kids that they don't want and love, they will abuse them, have someone else abuse them, or kill them. The guy hated his kids so he killed them.
