Politics, in general

This is for both conservatives and liberals. Will you stop taking information that you get from Facebook or other unreliable sources (including just making it up) and putting it out there as fact? There is some of this BS that is so far out there that you are just making everyone aware of your ignorance. If you put info out there you should source it.

You're right and I think it speaks to certain personality types. What gets me is that we KNOW how adversaries have tried to manipulate those folks through social media yet it continues. I just can't understand why self-respect doesn't beat beliefs people want to have met.
Sevendays · M
@Ynotisay they tried and succeeded to manipulate voters.

@Sevendays You're right. They succeeded. Via a similar playbook that Trump uses. Which is why every day that goes by that societies don't tackle AI-driven manipulation we're one step closer to breakdowns. We can't handle Facebook and Twitter. AI is another game.

I agree. Many people are much too gullible. They believe internet mis-disinformation without any verifiable evidence or named sources.

@badminton I agree. I wish I was more optimistic on that but I feel the train has already left the station! 😢😢

@Handfull1 it’s left the station and isn’t even is sight on the horizon, maybe a puff of smoke, nope that’s a dark cloud coming our way.

@Handfull1 sorry to say.

There's no political truth out there.
Just the same noisemakers trying to wear folk down with the same old nonsense

I only trust relatives on Facebook because I know they’re not fake news made by the government

@Aami1
What if a correct fact was put onto Facebook, does it stop becoming a fact?
Of course a fact does not stop being a fact just b/c it's on FB, but you will never know if it's a fact or not. If there are a hundred lies and one fact, how would you know which one it is?
Sevendays · M
@helenS exactly
