The "Disturbing" Intel Roiling Captiol Hill Is About Russian Nukes in Space.
A vague warning by the chair of the House Intelligence Committee about a “serious national security threat” Wednesday is related to Russia’s attempts to develop an antisatellite nuclear weapon for use in space, according to two people familiar with the matter.
While the people did not provide further details on the intel, one of them noted the U.S. has for more than a year been concerned about Russia’s potentially creating and deploying an antisatellite nuclear weapon — a weapon the U.S. and other countries would be unable to adequately defend against.
Now I wonder what Elon Musk thinks about all this with his own satellites up there. He has several hundred up there at least by now. That's quite an investment to lose.

@ElwoodBlues yeah, but Elon Musk is not exactly for Ukraine. He canceled the satellite observation for them on the war with Russia.
Would really like to know his thinking on Russia because of that. That cancelation might not say he is against Ukraine, yet he might be threatened by Russia on this.
Even a few hundred lost would be a major threat for him. Just radiation alone could destroy such communication satellites.
Just make them unfunctional would be bad enough. And Russia would only need a cheap dirty nuke to do it. No explosions necessary. No messy debris. Musk's satellites are only radiation protected from the sun's radiation. Russia has already made such a non explosive anti-satellite test.
