Who Gets the Worst Grade in History Class?

The guy on the left, who says Poland started World War II?

Or the guy on the right, who thinks the Royal Air Force existed in 1776?

I vote for you Ms Romero. You’ve gone from a sensible reasonable individual capable of engaging in a mutually enjoyable sharing of thoughts to a partisan hack. I’m very disappointed in you Ms Romero. Your former behavior will serve you better.

@jackjjackson Do you acknowledge Biden won the2020 with no interference?
@Vin53 Poor Jack still doesn't understand how the Obamas' $60 million book advance plus 20+ million copies sold could allow them to buy an $11.75 million house. Poor jack is showing all the signs of mathematical illiteracy.

I’d say he won with the usual shenanigans on both sides that occur during every election. Nothing special in 2020. @Vin53

His total net worth exceeds that. It appears to currently be $70M. I don’t have an issue with it. I simply point out that every modern US President leaves office with a boatload of money. It’s a fact of life.

WOW! You STILL don't get it?? The Obamas EARNED that boatload AFTER leaving office!! Their book earnings exceed $100 million; current net worth $70 million; your conspiracy theory doesn't fit the facts.

Here, let me paste in the math ONE MORE TIME!!!
While the exact terms of the book deal have not been publicly revealed, multiple reports said Penguin Random House paid more than $60 million to acquire rights to one book each written by Michelle and Barack Obama. The former president has yet to release his book, which is widely expected to detail his own experiences as the 44th U.S. president.
https://www.foxbusiness.com/media/obama-memoir-becoming-released-as-part-of-60m-book-deal
Michelle's book has sold 17 million copies so far - more copies of Becoming in the 1st week than Trump has sold of Art of the Deal in 20 years!

$19 paperback, $32 hardcover, $650 deluxe edition signed.

That's a minimum of $340 million in sales for Michelle alone; probably closer to $450 million. The bookseller keeps 40%, the publisher keeps 45% to 50%; so you can see how smart the publisher was to bid $60 million for the pair of books (Barack's book sold 3.4 million copies the first year; not bad either).

So, $60 million for the book advance, plus at least 10% of $450 million in book sales, That adds up to $105 million; Barack's book sales earn another $10-15 million for a grand total of around $120 million. Take away 40% taxes - they are left with $72 million. yes they can buy a $11.75 million house with that and afford the upkeep.

Why did the publisher advance $60 million? Because they got to keep 45% or 50% of $450 million in sales. Pay $60 million to earn over $200 million a couple years later - smart business.

In short, @jackjjackson, CAPITALISM earned Barack and Michelle eight figures - read it and weep!!

Good for them. Some had been converted into other assets, the Cope Cod and Georgetown properties, etc. and some has been spent. However their investment earnings more than likely vastly exceed the spending. All in all they have done quite well since leaving the WH. Why are you so defensive about it? It has worked that way for all modern presidents. No one is claiming that it’s a result of any BO wrong doing. @ElwoodBlues
@jackjjackson I'm not defensive; I'm explaining that there's no evidence of any illicit cash flows. You keep trying to suggest that Obama got payoffs while in office.
. I simply point out that every modern US President leaves office with a boatload of money.
I'm SHOWING that claim is evidence-free. He & Michelle EARNED that boatload AFTER the presidency.

Meanwhile, George W. Bush got rich before running for President; he struck gold with the Texas Rangers baseball team. There was a small situation where the state of Texas used eminent domain to seize land so the team could build a nice stadium in a convenient place; that smells a little foul, but it happened before he entered politics.

As I wrote:

GW left office with substantially more than he entered with in addition to his professional sports investment. EVERYONE makes huge profits these day with sports teams.
