I had an interesting conversation with a NY lawyer recently. trump is free to appeal but he has to put an equivalent amount of the judgment in an escrow account. After the appeal is ruled the escrow is released.

Ms Carrol could wind up owning real estate since trump does not have that much cash on hand.
