It would not work because politics (at least for me) is tied up with values. Sometimes those values can change, if given new information, but when they are core values, there is no changing them, and if you censor speech and expression of one’s values, you are in essence extinguishing the person.

It could function, but the site would not be what it is now. It would be a different kind of place if one can’t express values and beliefs. @Moneyonmymind
