What was the cause of the American Civil War? Seems to be a difficult question.

All the democrats in the south lost their minds when Republican Abraham Lincoln decided to take their slaves away.
@ShinyDiamond wrong 🙄

@ShinyDiamond It is interesting how a century later the Democrats became the party that supported civil rights, basically under the Kennedys, and the Republicans went the other way when they saw the opportunity to gain votes in the South. Today most Black political leaders and supporters of civil rights are understandably Democrats.

@Harmonium1923 @Harmonium1923 The Democrats have NEVER supported civil rights, nor do they do now. They are STILL segregationists. They are STILL racists. They STILL are the worst thing ever to happen to blacks.
Nothing has changed.
@ShinyDiamond And yet it's only Republicans who deny that now. Also only Republicans who really like confederate statues. 🤷‍♂️

@Reason10 So tell me, why is the Party of Trump (formerly known as the GOP) so adamant about restricting access to the ballot box?

Why do we never see Party of Trump (formerly known as the GOP) holding voter registration drives in minority neighborhoods, spouting the greatness of the party platform and providing solutions that will improve their lives?
