I wouldn't pick any because of the very reason you stated. They never won! 🤷🏻♂️
I even pick presidental candidates based on their likelihood to win.
The majority is never right. Yet it's a matter of who is closest to your side that will likely win.
I sure as heck don't like Biden. But I rather have him than have any potential dictator.
I'm far more of a libertarian than the the party I ever voted for. Definitely not to a total liberal nor a total democrat.
Some control is needed. And a regressive party is not progressive. Definitely not on the civil liberties scale.
I would rather see more constitutional personal rights across the board. Make it impossible to take away personal rights.
Biden is certainly not on that band wagon. Nor had any Democratic president or vice president.
Biden actually supports world wide commerce. Which I am totally opposed to. That has been conservative stance for the last hundred years. Yet greed only begets more greed no matter if you are Republican or Democrat.
We don't need to be more dominant, or more in control, to be in the right!
BTW this I find applies to foreign policy. Like in the middle east situation as opposed to the Ukraine situation. Why is Biden fighting the UN on this? More specifically even NATO! 🤷🏻♂️
Could it be he wants us to be more dominant in the middle East? 🤷🏻♂️
Where Ukraine will eventually become apart of NATO. Yet republicans (total dominators) are against Ukraine and more for Israel, like Biden.

🤔
Not all of them even ran for president. Some of them DIED in office as vice president.

Well obviously AL Gore. The climate emergency we are in might have been lessened if he became POTUS as should have happened.

I don't know if Gore would have been an "environmentalist" as president. He seems to have found that calling AFTER he lost the election (and he did LOSE that election).
And 9/11 would have still happened. It was a failure of the intelligence community connecting the dots, not of the president. Therefore, the war in Afghanistan would have still happened as well. And Saddam Hussein was too stupid to not eventually provoke the U.S. So a second war in Iraq would have likely still happened, too.
With all that happening, probably all in his first term, I doubt that Gore would have been laser-focusing much on anything else other than national security.
edit: corrected a typo

Mike Pence because i think it wuld be musing. He's an inaffective doltz who would easily cave to democrats because they are more Christ-like
BohemianBabe · M
@TrashCat Pence would probably be more like Bush, a standard Neo-Con. Which would still be much better than Trump.
TrashCat · M
@BohemianBabe True but even less effective. No one likes him and I think him getting elected as president would ensure a dem house majorty

I have always like Henry Wilson, who served as VP from 1873 to 1875 under President Grant. He was a Republican progressive who was way ahead of his time in supporting African-American rights, voting rights for women, and other progressive causes.

I was expecting someone to say "Burr."
For shame, Eli. For shame!
