I’m pro abortion rights but it’s really not the same thing
sree251 · 41-45, M
@Zeuro I am not denying that the use of technical knowledge has not been beneficial to human life. Abortion is interference with a natural process. It similar to inducing yourself to throw up after stuffing your belly in a frenzy of gluttony. It is abuse of the body. What good can come from that?

@sree251 Modern birth is also completely unnatural.

@LeopoldBloom What is modern birth? Do you mean caesarean section?
LeopoldBloom · M
@sree251 No, I mean giving birth in a hospital with doctors and a lot of high tech available, rather than at home with a midwife. This is the reason why the maternal death rate is lower in developed countries. Human beings are one of the only animals that require assistance to give birth. If women all gave birth by themselves "naturally" the way other animals do, the infant and maternal death rates would be much higher.

@LeopoldBloom You are right about our being overly reliant on modern medicine. My mom is the exception. Even though my father is a wealthy man and mom and I lived with him on Fifth Avenue, I was delivered at home with the assistance of a midwife. When it came time for me to get that baby wellness check at the doctor's, my mom objected to the customary jabs. "Why would I want a perfectly healthy 10 pound baby get vaccinated for?" Luckily, she found a doctor with her mindset and I was given letters of exemption all the way from kindergarten to high school. I don't have a single Covid shot. I came back from Asia last annual trip abroad in December 2019 just before the pandemic broke out. I have stopped traveling since, even within the country, to avoid the Fauci/CDC madness.
If a mom has birthing difficulties, natural death is the best way out of an unfortunate situation, always.

@sree251 I never said we were overly reliant on modern medicine. It's the reason the maternal and infant mortality rates are low. We need more modern medicine, not less.
As for you, you clearly survived, so the midwife worked out well for you. If you'd been a breech delivery or had the umbilical cord wrapped around your neck, you might not have been as lucky. As for vaccines, you've benefitted from herd immunity. The only reason you haven't gotten polio, measles, or whooping cough is because everyone else has. My cousin was married to a man who wasn't as lucky; he caught polio before the vaccine came out and spent his life in a wheelchair.
The COVID vaccine is different; unless you're 4 years old, your parents had nothing to do with you not getting that. As an American, no one is forcing you to get it. If your employer required you to get it or lose your job, that's just the free market. There were no government mandates requiring the public to get the vaccine.
Your last line is a sign of depravity. Do you feel the same way about all medicine? If you get sick, don't go to the doctor, because natural death is the best way out of all illness. Like most conservatives, you're happy to deny others the care you gladly take advantage of for yourself.

What "care" am I taking advantage off or myself? Why do you label me as "a conservative" whatever that may mean. Conjuring a bogeyman is a tactic for committing violence against humanity.

You regard my perception of natural death as a depravity? Depravity goes beyond mere bad behavior — it is a total lack of morals, values, and even regard for other living things, like the depravity of a serial killer. Natural death is neither an act of intent nor the deliberate commission of evil. Depravity is the willful killing of 25,000 people in 15 weeks in Gaza. Are you equating me with the Jews of Israel?
You and I need to talk more. We have much to do to bring peace in the world.

@sree251 So you're against all medical care? Or only medical care for women?
Depravity is refusing to allow a Jewish state to exist while tolerating all other states. I'm equating you with the Hamas rapists, who also have a depraved view of women. No wonder you're still a virgin.
500,000 Arabs were killed in the Syrian civil war. But who cares, no Jews were involved.
