So the leading contender for the gop nomination for potus stands in an unfilled school auditorium, brags how it is the biggest crowd the venue has ever had and proceeds to talk about golden showers and how his wife knew this one couldn't be true because why? Not because he is too upstanding to do such a thing, but because he is a germaphobe.

This is your guy, maga cult.
He tells you how he hates this country. He has zero policy to discuss. Only crying about how bad he's treated and how he hates and wishes to jail or eliminate his detractors.
Potus material for you. To everyone else? A bumbling fool leading fucking morons.
How does it feel to be perceived as fucking morons to the entire world?

I remember hearing or reading about a poll earlier this year, asking Republicans to pick their reasons for wanting Trump to be elected as president again. I can't find it, but I think was it rating listed issues in order of importance to them. One of the choices was something like "to 'own' the libs". Something similar, anyway. A significant number of those who participated, rated that choice higher than actual issues that most people in this country really care about.

Based on my own observation, the reliability of polls aside, I wasn't even surprised. Disheartened that many of my fellow Americans are that petty and shallow, but not really surprised.

@Piper surprise, shock, disbelief. Those feelings left my building, seems like a lifetime ago.
What i am left with, concerning a chunk of my fellow Americans, is on one hand disgust, on the other, profound sadness.

@Piper I wouldn't doubt that for a second. If you drop in to FOX or one of the clones the word "liberal" is flying everywhere. Doesn't matter that most Democrats aren't liberal or aren't well represented in Congress. It's ALL about having an enemy to blame. Fear and grievance is their lane. They're truly the weakest among us.
