@NativePortlander1970 I didn’t see his HBO specials. But he did get invited to speak at the new history museum at the university. I think it might have been a foundation fundraiser. The first thing he said was that the university was a heathen institution. That they were best known for their football team instead of academics. He hit that nail right on the head. The fraternity boys were pure heathens back then.

@NativePortlander1970 One year the athletic department was having budget problems and my department took $1 million out of our department’s budget and handed it over to the athletic department. After they started winning again and making boo-coos of money on licensed merchandise etc they never offered to repay my department back. We didn’t get any raises that year because of that. So yeah I took it personally.

@NativePortlander1970 they don’t even stress critical thinking any more and focus on liberal agendas even in Oklahoma universities. That’s disgusting and part of what’s wrong in my city.
