So if I break into your house and interrupt your dinner, but just walk around calmly looking at stuff, I haven't committed a crime? It doesn't matter if some of the people who broke into the Capitol weren't violent. They were trespassing. And the reason they were there wasn't to sightsee, they were trying to stop Congress from certifying the vote.

@Lila15 If I had armed security in my living room and I found you "just walking around calmly looking at stuff" then you aren't the only one in trouble. Before they were fired for not doing their job I would want to know why. If it turned out they were asked to look the other way I would want to know names. If for some reason the news was broadcasting video of a large crowd trying to get into my house but not video that showed security standing around with their thumbs up their ass then I'd want to know why that was as well.
It seems the American public was shown a one sided view of what happened on Jan 6, someone needs to explain that.

@robb65 Many of the Capitol guards were Trump fluffers who let the rioters in because they agreed with them. Others bravely resisted. What's your point? Because some of the people who invaded the Capitol were just dummies who followed other people in and didn't do anything but take selfies, that means the entire thing was just a rowdy tour group?
If a building is guarded and you're not supposed to be inside it, and a guard lets you in anyway, you've still broken the law.

@robb65 Well, they weren't trespassing since they work there, and you can't prosecute someone for doing a shitty job. So far, no one has made a case linking Trump directly to the Proud Boys, Oath Keepers, and other rioters. Roger Stone was probably the go-between, and since he was pardoned, he can't be forced to testify.
