I hope not.
If only because his last period in office was marked by some questionable behaviour that nobody seemed able to confront him on until after he left office.
Plus it would be a sign that the Republican party once again chose populism over political substance.
Which would say to America and the wider world that there really was nobody better for the position.
And would indicate, not only to business but allies worldwide that America had condemned itself to a third term of negative growth; dwindling support; stock market uncertainty etc.
