Are we now witnessing the defeat of Hamas once and for all ?

I'm reading responses here and see a lack of understanding of the complete picture , but I won't go so far back and stick to what's happening during the past month.
NOT as mentioned by someone ... Israel has absolutely NO wish to make the Palestinian people disappear. If the Hamas would not have attacked and massacred on October 7th non of this war would be happening.
BUT , could any nation have such a thing done to them and not retaliate ? I don't think so.
In 1993 Israel signed the Oslo agreement which basically said that the Palestinians have self government in Judea and Samaria and the Gaza strip. We signed an agreement with arch-terrorist Yasar Arafat. Israel supplied weapons to the PA police. Unfortunately those weapons were used against us. The PLO and Hamas continued their attacks against Israelis despite our willingness to give over lands.
In 2005 Israel pulled out completely from the Gaza strip. 10000 Israelis left their homes. There are NO Israelis left in Gaza. Instead of taking the oppurtunity to turn the Gaza Strip into a Middle Eastern heaven of tourism , beaches , improve their medical services , education and standard of living with no war , they funneled funds from the Gulf States , the UN , the EU and the USA into their leaders privates Swiss bank accounts , digging a subway of underground tunnels to be used as bases for their terror , buying munitions. WHAT a waste :(
Israel doesn't want Gaza so they should just leave us alone.
What did Hamas think ? that Israel wouldn't fight back ? They have already admitted that the general civvilian population of Gaza doesn't interest them. When asked who should be taking care of the general population one of their heads answered ... The UN. That's the answer of the organization that is ruling Gaza. He's admitting that they couldn't care about their own brethren.
It's all very clever for spoiled Western students to demonstrate and chant "Free Palestine" but for kids studying in Ivy League universities or centuries old established European universities , they're a lack of grip on reality.
The reality is on one hand very complex , but on the other very simple ... and on all sides , VERY sad.
